PRODUCT INFO
Corten Steel is made from the manipulation of alloy elements that are added to steel. This controls the rate at which Oxygen in the atmosphere can react with the surface of the metal.
The rustic nature of the material means imperfections in colour and texture are present, this adds to the effect.
Wash with soapy water to get rid of any grease.
Colour leaching may occur.
Your Corten Steel piece will weather over time, this may be accelerated by spraying with water or salt water for approximately a week.
This product is compatable with Stainless Steel but not with galvanized, galvalume and Zinc.
It is recommended that the larger sculptures ard concreted into the ground as they do sway a little in the wind.
